What You Should Know Ahead of Time About This Product:
This is a basic potty training package so it includes the essenital items that you will need, but there might be additional products you might like to have on hand. For example, decide if you want to try pull-ups or underwear, or a combination of both. Once your child starts using the potty while you are out and about together, you’ll want to consider the things needed to survive public restrooms! Likewise, when it is time to start night training, you will definitely want to consider purchasing a waterproof mattress pad. Some parents like to start out with a doll that goes potty in order to help their child understand the process and learn what going to the potty is all about. Is a doll necessary? No, but it certainly is not going to hinder the process to have one!
All children are different, so some may be ready to potty train before others, and they may require different time frames or styles in order to become fully potty trained. Also, the term 'fully potty trained' is similar to another term parents tend to use a little loosely: 'sleeping through the night'! In other words, accidents do happen (and happen... and happen...) and it may take longer than you expected for your child to be totally potty trained.
